Conquered the Burger Bender for the 2nd year in a row and tasted all 7 burgers and sides, this special burger menu is on now for a limited time. I was quite impressed with most of them, here are my favourites and then some.. We had the following:
1) FRENCH ONION BIG DIPPER
This one was my ultimate favourite, it’s got a 6oz smash beef patty, crispy onion ring, caramelized onions, double swiss cheese, dijonnaise, arugula, brioche bun. and a side of classic French onion soup broth for dipping.
2) BBQ RANCH HAND
This one was top notch and my 2nd favourite, the pretzel bun makes this burger fly; it’s got a 6oz charbroiled, steak spice chuck burger, cheddar cheese, coleslaw, onion ring, pulled pork, spicy bbq sauce, pretzel bun. Onion rings as the side.
3) MIGHTY MUSHROOM
One of the newest burgers, it’s got a 6oz smash beef patty, sauteed crimini and button mushrooms, Boursin cheese, dijonaise, lettuce, tomato, onion, brioche bun.
4) THE VEG HEAD
Tasty house-made wild rice and black bean patty, with avocado, red oion, tomato, jack cheese, house mayo, sprouts, multi-grain bun.
5) GRILLED CHICKEN GREEN GODDESS
This was the healthiest of the burgers that we tried with fire-grilled chicken breast, avocado, goat cheese, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, pickled red onion, green goddess dressing, multigrain bun.
6) FILET O’ CRISPY FISH
Hand dipped, beer battered Atlantic haddock, tartar sauce, slaw, butter lettuce, old bay mayo, dill pickles, lemon, brioche bun.
7) NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN
This time around it was my least favourite, just a fried chicken burger, with no spice or heat or sticky sauce you might normally find in a Nashville style hot chicken burger.
We had visited the Delta location to indulge in these burgers, this is their newest location locally that has a great vibe and friendly staff. The Burger Bender is available at all their locations through to February 26.
