Enjoyed a wonderful dinner and great conversation with my friend Lee Man over delicious dishes at this South Granville Italian hot spot.
Aside from the delicious pasta made by Chef Marta Pan the other somewhat exciting surprise was the waiter who quietened the room with a little ching ching of the glasses, to sing a wonderful melody, not once but twice during the night. If you love Italian food and you love waiters who sing beautifully you now know where to go for dinner.
I loved the Goat Cheese Panna Cotta ‘Salad’ with the beets and citrus as well as the outstanding Pappardelle Rabbit Ragu with perfectly cooked pasta and the flavourful ragu.
The Halibut Cheeks in a brown butter sauce was very good that was served with some veg and was also good for sharing.
The desserts make for a lovely finish and the Butterscotch Budino with salted caramel was divine. The Zabaglione tasted like Black Forest cake.
As the restaurant is owned by seasoned professionals including Chef Andrey Durbach, they know a thing or two on creating the mood for customers to enjoy and to keep them coming back.
