Vancouver Panini Challenge - Vancouver Foodster

Welcome to the Vancouver Foodster Panini Challenge. Cafes from all over Metro Vancouver were invited to enter their Panini creations into this challenge. Each cafe will be featuring their Panini creations on their menu from April 6 – May 1, 2022.

How Does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the Panini creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best creation for the People’s Choice award winners.

Share your experiences: Share your photos on Instagram and TikTok throughout the challenge, our instagram and TikTok address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #PaniniChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your social media sharing during the challenge.

Voting criteria – some things to help you judge your favourite Panini creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.

How to VOTE :

Look for our Panini challenge posters at each of the participating cafes.
Scan the QR code and Vote for your favourites from April 6-May 1, 2022.

Get some friends together and visit 2 places or more to taste the different Panini creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourites

Nonna’s Cucina

Description: Spezzatino is a rich Tuscan beef stew slow cooked for hours with aromatic vegetables, pancetta and herbs in a savory red wine and beef stock. We reduce this down and mix with the braised beef after a quick shred of the meat. Served on our fresh ciabatta with pancetta-onion marmelatta, buratta cheese, peperonata, and arugula.
