Healthy Choices and More at BC Place this Season

It’s great to see that the chefs team (now lead by Executive Chef Wayne Chen) at BC Place Stadium (Executive Chef William Tse now oversees all of the Canadian food offerings under Sodexo) have added some new healthier food options to their lineup this season. If you are heading to the Whitecaps season opener tonight or other games and concerts this season here are some of the new dishes that I have tasted for you to enjoy.

The Supper Happy Power Bowl (that consists of Butternut squash, flavoured tofu, carrots, red pepper, chickpea, sweet corn, edamame, heirloom tomato, marinated slaw, served on brown rice & quinoa) is healthy and vegan too.

For all the meat lovers who are looking for healthier options, the Chipotle Chicken Bowl is another great dish that is comprised of tender chicken bites, black beans, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, sweet corn, served on rice.

Both of these heathier items are available from their Boom Kitchen.

Another tasty item is from their Grab & Go; the Oceanwise Tuna Bento Bowl (GF) with seared local albacore tuna, quinoa, cucumber, edamame, pickles, radish, ginger, sriracha aioli

I also love this new eatery addition, Bombay where you can get some Indian offerings such as the tasty Chana Masala with Chickpea, red lentil, onion, tomato, house masala, coconut milk; and their Vegetarian Samosas with Peas, carrots, potatoes, and spices.

Of course if you love your meat they have you covered with many different choices including the Smash Burger (Carnivore beef patty, foie gras, aged cheddar, pickled onion, house recipe sauce, “golden” brioche bun), a new Kimchi Dog and the introduction of BC Place’s own Mac and Cheese Bar.

These new eats will be up for order during Whitecaps FC matches, BC Lions home games, Canada Soccer matches, the 2022 Canada Sevens and at the many concerts that will take place this year including The Weekend, Sir Elton John, Motley Crue and more.
