I have eaten a lot of desserts inside and outside Vancouver restaurants in the past year, these are the ones that are standouts, ones that you remember for a long time to come. This list is devoted to my favourite desserts that I have eaten in 2021 at restaurants that are still open to this day.

The ChocoFlan by chef Francisco Higareda, it’s dense chocolate, cajeta, walnut ice cream, topped with a churro; and it’s yum!
Pandan Chiffon Cake
with muscovado crémeux and macadamia cornflake crunch, delicious Singaporean dessert.
Turmeric and Orange Cake
A Persian dessert with orange blossom buttercream, almonds and candied orange is a standout.
Delicious Tiramisu with mascarpone crema, lady fingers, cocoa powder, Amarena cherries
With miso caramel, Madagascar vanilla bean ice cream; beautiful, loved all the components including the layered apple slices, by Chef Brian Hoang and team.
Rose Syrup Falooda
This Indian dessert is incredible garnished with pistachios, with rose extract, basil seed and silky noodles with their home made ice cream.
A Greek dessert with shredded phyllo, masticha cream custard, sliced almonds.
Cardamom, Cinnamon, Orange Cheesecake
Beautiful Moroccan flavours in this dense cheesecake, garnished with orange.
Sticky Toffee Pudding
Super moist toffee pudding cake with whisky caramel and chantilly cream, an incredible dessert by Chef Welbert Choi.
