Chinatown plays host to the inaugural Fire Dragon Festival and Noodlecious Festival and welcomes the entire community to join in on family fun activities, live performances, good eats, and of course to meet the Fire Dragon.

Awakening of the Dragon (Chinese Cultural Centre Courtyard, 50 Pender Street)
Eye Dotting Ceremony of the Fire Dragon to awaken its spirit and dance to bring good luck and prosperity.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2021 –  SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2021
Fire Dragon Incense Offering (Chinese Cultural Centre Courtyard, 50 Pender Street)
Insert incense and bring good luck & prosperity to the community.

Spirit Dragon Art Installation (133 Keefer Street)
Artists: BaGua Artist Association and community seniors and volunteers
BaGua Artist Association along with community seniors created the Spirit Dragon to lift the community spirit in Chinatown, considering recent hardship and struggles from COVID 19.
