This is a beautiful tapas lounge which opened in the late fall on East Hastings in the Strathcona neighborhood; I was excited to revisit for their recently added weekend brunch service.

Cappuccino
Started of the morning with a Cappuccino with almond milk, and they have a good selection of other espresso based beverages as well as cocktails for those that prefer to start their morning that way.
1st dish:

Bread

spreads
Bread and spreads local Bench Bakehouse sourdough with house-made Nutella, whipped chili butter, blackberry orange marmalade to share.
2nd dish:

Pan-Fried Zucchini Bread
Pan-Fried Zucchini Bread with salted caramel drizzle, whipped ricotta, pumpkin seeds, olive oil, this tasty dish is also offered on their night time menu.
3rd dish:

Toad in the Hole Sandwich
Toad in the Hole Sandwich this is not normally a dish I would have ordered as I don’t like eggs, however, as Lawrence wanted to try it, he had the top and I had the bottom, here you have Bench Bakehouse Sourdough, egg, chorizo, cheddar, olive tapenade, aioli, organic side salad.
4th dish:

Mash & Kimchi bowl
Mash & Kimchi bowl, Mashed amarosa potato, Belgian endive kimchi, poached eggs, herbs; and I loved the flavour of the kimchi with the amarosa potato.
5th dish:

Kedgeree
Kedgeree bowl, this was an amazing dish with Smoked sablefish risotto, andouille sausage, rapini, poached eggs, hollandaise; and one that I would order again.
Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday from 10am -2pm, they also offer a Mimosa cart service for those that like to brunch with mimosas in hand.
