Earlier in the fall I attended the 5th annual Long Table Dinner at Hopcott Meats in Pitt Meadows. it was the first time that I had attended this annual event and I had a wonderful time. We were all seated outside under the canopy where Chef Jessie Ho and his team prepared a delicious dinner
A wine and charcouterie reception started off the evening event where guests had a chance to taste a selection of meats and cheeses.
Guests were then seated under the canopy for the dinner portion of the evening.
1st course
Roast Pumpkin Soup with pepitas, pomegranate pearls, goat cheese crème, and this was delicious.
2nd course
Warm chicken salad, this was a subsitute dish for a couple of us replacing their pork dish.
3rd course
Braised beef short rib, celeriac puree, honey glazed carrots, sherry tarragon jus and wow this was an incredible dish.
4th course
Chocolate pot de crème, toffee crumble, chantilly cream
Great live music accompanied the dinner by Ryan Mcallister with a beautiful backdrop in the foreground. Partial proceeds were donated to Alisa’s Wish Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.
Make sure you get tickets for next year’s long table dinner as soon as they go on sale as this an incredible event you do not want to miss.
