Sangria Challenge Winners 2018

The  Vancouver Foodster 3rd Sangria Challenge was a huge success featuring sangria creations from restaurants around Vancouver. Each restaurant featured their sangria creation from September 13 – October 7, 2018. . Our media judging panel determined the ultimate winners of the challenge, and this was quite the task as each judge who tasted each creation with a rigorous process based on taste, originality/uniqueness and presentation/appearance.

Our Media judges for this challenge were: Maggi Mei, Mary Sheridan and Zahra Alani.

Description: Enjoy a sangria concoction as fiery as it is refreshing. Poplar Grove Pinot Gris collides with Tequila Reposado infused with charred jalapeño pepper. We cool the heat with kiwi fruit, cucumber and juicy watermelon. Fever Tree Tonic provides the fizz and a sprinkle of passion fruit bubble bombs adds an extra burst of flavor. Finished with a dollop of our house made raspberry sorbet and a mouthwatering charred jalapeño pepper. A unique twist to the classic, Hella-Pinot is a tongue tingling taste sensation.
