On August 9, I attended this wonderful event hosted by the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver. It was another beautiful night on the pier despite the smoky air that blanketed the city from the forest fires many miles outside of the city, guests mingled eating delicious bites from North Shore restaurants and sipped on BC Wine.
One of my favourite pairings of the night was Chef Ned Bell’s Vancouver Aquarium team’s Scallop Ceviche paired with the Blue Mountain Winery Brut.
Loved the delicious seared Scallop with crushed summer peas and mint dish by Chef Faizal Kassam and his Terroir Kitchen.
Chefs Thomas Haas and Steven Tran of Thomas Haas created a delicious dark chocolate dessert with berry compote and vanilla ice cream.
My other favourite dishes of the night were Fresh Dungeness Crab Salad, roasted eggplant, grilled Turkish flatbread from the Arc Restaurant, Smoked Salmon Carpaccio from Feast – The Neighborhood Table; and Ocean Wise Lois Lake Steelhead by the Cactus Club Café; and the Brioche Sponge filled with a tart blackberry curd from Temper Chocolate and Pastry.
The delicious food, and wine made for another beautiful evening on the pier during the annual Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver.
