Last summer I visited a few farms in Langley as part of my own tour on a Field Trip visiting some places that were a part of the Langley Circle Farm Tour. This summer I was able to participate in a media tour which visited many new spots that I hadn’t visited previously. Here are some of the places I visited which you should check out on your own day tour.
One of the highlights of the tour was the visit to the Aldor Acres Dairy Centre to scratch ‘Milk A Cow’ off your bucket list. Aldor Acres Dairy Centre provides hands on Guided tours, that include learning to milk a cow by hand, make butter and feed your new bovine buddies. Find out how milk gets from the cow to your table at this family run dairy farm. Come visit and check out our new employee R2D2 the Robotic Milker!
Daily at 4:15 pm, please call ahead to book. Closed Aug 21 – Sept 9

Another highlight was a visit to The Fort Wine Company where Cranberries are more than just a healthful and refreshing fruit, visit the fort wine company and see how they turn fruit into fun. They are the demonstration farm for the Cranberry Festival, you can visit them daily for farm and winery tours and taste how we use cranberries to create wine, balsamic vinegars and other fruit based delights.
