Advice: Call ahead for the pineapple pie and other treats if there is a certain sweet you are craving.
Latin American food in Vancouver has been hard to come by over the past years, now more and more restaurants and bakeries are opening. I visited this bakery and was greeted by Blanca who is an experienced baker and founder of this wonderful bakery. Blanca is so passionate about her baking and she is so excited to offer these Latin American sweets and savouries to Vancouverites to enjoy. Sweets, breads, and savouries from El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica. You must try the Mil Hojas ($2) made with caramel, the Semita de Pina Pineapple Pie ($3.00), and the Piono ($1.50). Many other dishes caught my eye including the Rice cake ($4) and their version of Bread Pudding. They also make meat pies and tamales. This is a bakery worth a visit.
