First Taste of Amber Road Restaurant

Specializing in European cuisine offering dishes that follow the Amber Road blending Mediterranean, Alpine, and Baltic European flavors.

The historic Amber Road is an ancient trade route that winds from the Baltic Sea down to the Mediterranean, cutting through countries like Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Slovenia. Just as the route once carried precious fossilized resin across the continent, it also served as a massive cultural highway, blending Nordic, Slavic, and Germanic traditions. The region’s cuisine reflects this shared history a comforting, hearty tapestry of flavors dominated by fermentation, wild foraging, and rich meats. It is a culinary landscape where Baltic seafood and wild game meet staple comforts like dumplings, rye bread, sauerkraut, and forest berries, showing how centuries of trade can shape a regional palate.

Each dish on the restaurant menu is noted with the origin country. I loved that everything is made in house from scratch and you can tell how passionate Chef Jaroslaw is about his dishes.

Lawrence joined me and tried a wide selection of their food and beverages from the dinner menu and these were the ones that I enjoyed.
