Earlier in the year I spent some time test driving the Acura TLX Type S 2025 car to Seattle for some eats and coffee and to do some exploring.

I have several favourite coffee shops in Seattle as coffee has been one of my passion projects for many years even before I wrote my first book on coffee and the café scene. Seattle is the hot spot for coffee in the Pacific North West, my first stop of the day was to Hagen Coffee and to one of their locations that I had not been too previously. This Hagen Coffee location is located on the edge of downtown towards the edge of Queen Anne.

The 2025 Acura TLX, a premium sport sedan, and I was driving the more powerful TLX Type S which boasts a 355-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with 354 lb-ft of torque. This model is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.  The TLX is praised for its light and accurate steering and well-controlled handling. 

Cafe Hagen roasts their own coffee beans in Seattle that supplies each of their cafes in the Seattle area. I visited their 700 Dexter Ave N location which is one of their smallest cafes and this is where I had the Cold Brew to go.

One of my long time friends Brian joined me for dinner at my favourite vegan Thai restaurant in the South Lake Union neighbourhood of Seattle.  I had the Green Curry with tofu and veggies and Riceberry rice and Brian had the Pad See Ew.

This model of the TLX features dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment units. It also features a touchpad controller which is used for the infotainment system. Both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The TLX features standard AcuraWatch, which includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking, and Forward Collision Warning. The Type S adds Blind Spot Info, Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, and Front/Rear parking sensors. 

The next day I visited another favourite cafe, this time it was in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood at Victrola Coffee, they have had cafes in Seattle for years and they also roast their own coffee. My go to here is often a Cortado which is what I had.

As I love Thai food, my lunch spot of the day was to Spoonful Thai Kitchen & Bar located in the Ballard neighbourhood. I had the delicious Swimming Rama Chicken with brown rice.

The Acura TLX Type S 2025 car was a great car to drive from Vancouver and around Seattle.
