Pizzeria Spacca Napoli Award and Dinner Celebration

It was a wonderful celebration to celebrate the restaurant as it was named Canada’s top pizzeria, earning the prestigious “3 Spicchi” ranking from Gambero Rosso, a world-renowned authority on Italian cuisine.

This amazing honour, known as the “3 Spicchi” ranking has been awarded to exactly ONE pizzeria in all of Canada and brightly shines a spotlight on Spacca Napoli’s dedication to true Neapolitan pizza-making. From hand-stretched dough to the sizzling 900-degree wood-fired oven, each pie is a delicious slice of Napoli’s rich heritage. With top-notch ingredients like 00 farina, San Marzano tomatoes, and Fior di Latte, you won’t want to miss a bite.

This celebration dinner with the owners and their families who I have known for many years also celebrated the 8th anniversary of the restaurant that is owned by Danny Pero and Davide Di Giovanni. Over the years the restaurant had also won 1st place in a couple of my Vancouver Pizza challenges.

To celebrate this milestone we ate delicious potato croquettes stuffed with cheese, Margarita pizza, Sonriso (their new to the menu Napoli style folded, pizza), and a special pizza The Pino Posteraro of Cioppino’s Restaurant of  who created a special collaboration pizza that is crowned with truffle cheese, aged balsamic +, we finished off the evening with an incredible Pistachio Tiramisu.
