Exploring and Eating in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is the entertainment hub for many in the Western world where people come to make memories and have a good time, they also come to eat. Upon arriving into Las Vegas (2 hours and 30 mins flight from Vancouver) we went straight to our hotel and to one of the restaurants for a late dinner.

Chin Chin (3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas) was located inside the New York New York hotel where we were staying; this is where we chose to eat, it is an Asian restaurant that offers both Chinese dishes as well as sushi. There were 3 of us and we shared the Chicken Potstickers, Chinese chicken salad and a Shrimp Pad Thai.

I then spent a few days eating my way around Las Vegas restaurants between the strip and downtown and these were the mostly casual spots i visited and the eats we had.

The next day after exploring the Vegas strip walking and taking the Deuce, made a visit to Bar Ito in the Fontainebleau Las Vegas Hotel (2777 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas) which was in their fancy food hall in the beautiful hotel for lunch and I had a Salmon Don bowl and a Mushrooms miso soup. The hotel was a stunner and I loved the fresh red roses that adorned the lobby (the roses are refreshed daily).

For dinner we all visited Eataly that is located inside the Park MGM Hotel, this popular International eatery had a sit-down restaurant and I had the Kale salad with golden raisins, Cavatelli with sausage and broccoli and a Tiramisu; it was all very good and the service was top notch.

The next day we took the complimentary monorail from the Park MGM to Aria and had a delicious breakfast at Salt and Ivy restaurant where I had the heavenly Dutch Baby with berries and lemon curd.

Late morning I went walking up the strip passing all the popular resort hotels to The Venetian where I sought out Miznon (3355 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas) one of my favourite International Middle Eastern chains and I had my favourite Broken chicken rotisserie pita and the Baked sweet potatoes.

I took an Uber and headed to downtown Las Vegas to meet up with the others and take in the Fremont Experience.

We then had dinner at Le Thai (523 Fremont St, Las Vegas) in the downtown area for an outstanding dinner and we started off with the Chicken Satay and Waterfall Beef, Spring rolls, 3 color curry and their Short Rib beef fried rice.

The next day we took an Uber to the Town Square outdoor mall (6605 Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas) where we had lunch at Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar and I had the Guac and Chips followed by the Grilled chicken and mango salad.

There are many more great restaurants and I look forward to discover more on future visits.
