Holiday Chalet Afternoon Tea Tasting at Notch 8 Restaurant

Afternoon Tea at Notch 8 is always a special treat and this time I visited for their Holiday Chalet Afternoon Tea and it was no different other than the space being totally different as it is set up for the holiday festive season.

For guests you would be served a 3-tier tray with savouries, scones and sweets.

For this event it was set-up buffet style where we could try whatever we wanted for the savouries and sweets.

My favourites of the savouries:

Crab & Lobster Roll
lemon dill aioli | butter brioche | alfalfa

Chestnut Deviled Egg
beet dyed egg | sundried tomato | chives

My favourites of the sweets:

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
scottish shortbread | star anise glaze | gold flakes

White Forest Cheesecake
white chocolate | amarena cherries | bitter chocolate

Saint Nick’s Belt
spiced scented macaron | chestnut cream

A selection of teas are included in this experience.

They also have a selection of festive season cocktails that you can add on to the special tea and the Mountain Ash was divine with vanilla chai infused woodfords, drambuie, amaro montenegro.

Nestled in a warm, rustic setting, this afternoon tea offers the perfect escape to celebrate the holiday season.

The Holiday Chalet Afternoon Tea is $79 per person and is available Wednesday through Sunday through to December 29 with three daily seatings at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Located at 900 W Georgia St, in Vancouver. Reservations are now available and can be made online.
