I recently spent a week test driving the Honda Accord Hybrid 2024 car around Vancouver while trying some dishes at some of restaurants, taking in a cooking demo with a celebrity chef, seeing a live musical and more.
It was a warm afternoon and I drove to Yaletown to visit Wren Cafe, located on busy Nelson Street this qaint cafe features a selection of baked goods, pastries, sandwiches and has a full lineup of coffee and tea beverages. I enjoyed an Iced Latte in the bright cafe before heading out towards Stanley Park.
I drove to the Prospect Point Cafe in Stanley Park to try the Steelhead Burger that won 2nd place in our Summer Burger Festival. This tasty burger featured Lois Lake steelhead, brioche bun, feta cheese, sumac, pickled onions, tomato, lettuce, avocado, ketchup, honey mustard dill sauce, along with fresh cut fries. As it was a beautiful day, I sat on the patio and also enjoyed one of their Chocolate Pocket pastries and a refreshing beverage.
The steering well is padded to make it a comfortable hands on experience with the popular buttons at the drivers fingertips.
Later that afternoon I headed to East Van to attend a reception at the new Assembly commercial and housing complex in East Van. Here International muralist artist Ola Volo unveiled her mural ceilings that are woven throughout the interior of the building. While there I had an Chocolate Malt ice cream cone. I had the pleasure to interview Ola several years ago when she lived here in Vancouver, this latest project spanned over 6 years since groundbreaking.
Later that evening, I drove to the South Granville neighbourhood to attend Jersey Boys musical at the Stanley Theatre.
The center consule features many different apps and features all in one central place such as FM radio, and more.
The next day I headed to Gastown for a semi private cooking session with Celebrity Chef Ricardo who was in the city to launch his Chef Ricardo cuisine products at Safeway stores across BC. He cooked up some dishes for me and a few others to try.
The next day I drove out to the Fraser Valley to have lunch at India’s Most Wanted which is located in the Aldergrove neighbourhood. I had the Coconut Mushroom Curry with Portobello mushrooms simmered in a creamy sauce of fresh coconut, as it was a lunch meal I also had some naan bread and a dessert.
The sedan features a good amount of trunk space for city driving when picking up some groceries or other supplies.
