An annual fall festival takes place in Abbotsford that features a range of different food and drinks events in the area. I attended the first event of this year’s festival, the Taste of Abby Night Market that featured a selection of food and drink vendors as well as an entertainment stage with bands performing throughout the rainy night. It was a rainy start to this year’s fall festival but it didn’t dampen the spirits for all who attended. This night market kicked off nine incredible days of the Fall Food Festival, a time spent celebrating Abbotsford’s agriculture and culinary scene!
My favourite food items of the night were the:
Beet Salad @thechefsacre food truck by Red Seal Chef Craig Scherer
Arancini and Heirloom Tomato @restaurant62
Apple Pie Ice Cream and Matcha Strawberry @bantericecream
Samosa @maanfarms
Gulab Jamun Cheesecake @opheliabakehouse
Pear tart, Almond tart and the Squash tart @blueaprons2433
Loved hearing the Live music from @gregneufeld , @ryanmcallister_ , and @kylerjpierce
If you live in the lower mainland area, I urge you to try and visit Abbotsford to take in one of their experiences during this festival that runs through to September 22. Check out the lineup here.
