To Seattle in the Honda 23HR-V

I recently spent some time test driving the Honda 23HR-V car and headed for a drive to Seattle to try some new cafes and visit a couple of favourites.

I visited the Hood Famous Bakeshop and café in downtown Seattle’s International District. Their community space operates as a Bakery-Cafe during the day. The Filipino turo-turo menu focuses on desserts, baked goods, and light meryenda snacks alongside our single origin Asian-Pacific coffee program.

I loved the refreshing Calamansi Espresso Tonic that went well with the Ube cookie. I couldn’t pass up trying the Ube swirl soft serve ice cream which was delicious along with a slice of the popular Buko Pandan.

Another café that I visited was the newest outpost for Café Ladro that’s located inside the Astra Hotel Seattle at 300 Terry Ave N., I had my go to drink, a Cortado here.

It has good driveability, a smooth ride, and comfortable seating. A few things that I liked in this model was the great fuel economy, econo mode, wireless phone charger, and multiple USB charging outlets.

In the afternoon I met up with some friends at Milk Drunk in the Beacon neighbourhood for some delicious soft serve ice cream; I had the Pistachio as well as their Pumpkin Spice. This neighbourhood hangout is a mellow operation featuring soft-serve ice cream, sandwiches & creative cocktails, plus a patio.

Later in the day I visited the newest location for another favourite Seattle based café, Anchorhead who recently opened in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood. Here I had a Nitro Cold Brew Coffee.

The HR-V car has a roomy front area as well as a large cargo area of the back of the car. There is also the 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback on all HR-Vs. Enjoy up to 1,559 litres of cargo space with the rear seats down, so you can bring virtually anything and everything.

Once I got close to the border on my way home, I stopped in to Edaleen Dairy in Blaine; a spot had been wanting to try for ages and I am so happy that I did as I got to enjoy a Soft Serve cone.

I really enjoyed the Honda HR-V 2023 was a great car to and from Seattle to try some great cafes.
