First Taste of Fiorino, Italian Street Food

Dining inspired by the streets of Florence is their tagline which emphasizes the type of food they are serving at this newly opened restaurant in Chinatown.

Owned by Giovanni Mascagni, Mitchel Clark and Chef Mario Ruiz, the 3 partners have already hit the ground running with their beautiful eatery.

Photos adorn the wall from Gio’s family and heritage back in Italy.

There is a long table in the center of the room for larger parties, as well as booths for 2 – 4, or seating at the bar.

I have tried a selection of dishes here during a recent dinner that I was invited to.

The Crostini Misti featured a selection of crostini topped with tomato, liver and mushrooms.

Polpette D’Agnello tasty lamb meatballs, Tuscan salsa verde

The Fritto Misto was a tasty mix of semolina battered seafood. The Verdure Fritte is a mix of semolina bettered vegetables.

Gnudi Caico e Pepe my favourite dish with spinach and ricotta dumpling, cacio e pepe sauce, fried sage

Delicious Tiramisu with mascarpone crema, lady fingers, cocoa powder, Amarena cherries
