A new commissary opened recently in the Tri-Cities area to enable food producers to produce their products in a professional kitchen. The meaning of Gong You Kitchen in Korean is sharing kitchen, and that is what they set out to do here.
Bridgette Hyun runs the commissary and the on site café, she gave me a tour of the kitchens and work stations as well as the café which will eventually feature products produced by the vendors of the commissary.
This is going to be a huge boost for food entrepreneurs who have the ideas with no way of implementing those ideas, now many of those dreams can be realized. This new facility is a kitchen rental space + food hub for food service producers that need an official place to produce their food and drink products.
