Vancouver Eats Cookbook Launch

Joanne Sasvari

I recently attended the book launch party for Vancouver Eats which was written by my friend Joanne Sasvari and published by Figure 1 Publishing. The party was held at the Vancouver Club in downtown Vancouver where guests mingled over cocktails and wine while enjoying some delicious bites.

Chef Ned Bell

Mussels & Kelp Pappardelle

Lobster Bisque

Chef Ned Bell cooked up one of his creations Mussels & Kelp Pappardelle which I had a chance to enjoy. Also enjoyed some of the Lobster Bisque from the chefs team at the Vancouver Club.

The book is filled with mouthwatering recipes and beautiful photographs, including 90 recipes from 45 of the city’s best restaurants. This book boasts a collection of original and innovative dishes by chefs who’ve put Vancouver on the culinary map.

Some other recipes that piqued my interest were the

  • Chilled Heirloom Tomato and Garden vegetable soup (Chef Pino -Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill)
  • Salmon with sweet and sour pinot noir plums and rosemary (Chef Ned Bell – Oceanwise)
  • Lucky Dumplings (Chef Clement Chan – Torafuku)

This cookbook will make a great holiday gift for your foodie friends. You can purchase this beautiful hardcover book online through Amazon and Indigo in Canada for around $35.
