On August 8, I attended this wonderful event hosted by the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver. It was another beautiful and warm night on the pier where guests mingled eating delicious bites from North Shore restaurants and sipped on BC Wine.
My favourite pairings of the night was Chef Rob’s Mushroom and Mascarpone Ravioli, topped with sage Brown Butter Sauce by Mangia E Bevi; paired with the Summerhill Winery Sangiovese,; this also happened to be the winning dish.
My favourite dessert of the night was from the Temper Chocolate & Pastry team that served Caramelized puff pastry, vanilla mascarpone mousse, chocolate cremeaux, macerated strawberries and basil, blood orange segments, dark and sour cherry compote, crystalized mint.
From smiles to more tasty dishes and wine sips, Feast served a Fresh Dungeness Crab on a squid ink tapioca crisp, Parc Retirement Living served Braised Pork Cheeks with crispy prawn roll, hon shimeji mushrooms, honey caraway jus, pickled ginger foam; Cacao served a Halibut Ceviche & arepa crisp; Earls Ambelside Beach served an Ahi Maui Poke Canape; Cactus Club Park Royal served a Chimichurri Guacamole on Corn Tortilla Chip; Terroir Kitchen served a Confit Duck & Foie Rillette; and Milestones served a Cracker Jack Mousse.
Some of the tasty wines of the evening.
