On February 20th Chef/owners Jean Francis and Alessandra Quaglia celebrated their restaurant’s 16th Anniversary with a wonderful dinner. I was invited for dinner to enjoy some of their most popular dishes that had been on the menu since the beginning.
I have enjoyed my many visits over the years to this French restaurant located on the Southern edge of Yaletown. I remember when I interviewed Maestro Bramwell Tovey here over brunch where we enjoyed the food as well as the conversation.
On this night, my guest for this wonderful dinner was Lawrence and we started off sharing the
Warm Goat Cheese Salad and the Crab & Shrimp Cakes.
I then enjoyed the Lois Lake Steelhead with baby kale, lentils, turmeric scented cauliflower puree; Lawrence had the Whole Atlantic Lobster grilled, served with seasonal vegetables and seven grain rice.
Lawrence and I then shared the outstanding and popular, Wild Mushroom Ravioli with grilled chicken in a white wine and butter sauce with tomatoes and fresh herbs.
Towards the end of the night, our hosts, Chef/owners Jean Francis and Alessandra Quaglia said a few words and thanked everyone for celebrating their milestone with them.
To end our celebration meal we had my favourite Berry and White Chocolate Clafoutis.
To celebrate their 16th Anniversary, the 16 special ‘popular’ dishes on their menu will each be 16% off from now through to the end of March 2018. The discounted price is listed in a golden starburst on the menu for easy identification.
