With a focus on the West Coast-style BBQ, owner Marc Wicks and Chef Josh McWilliams make most of what they serve in-house including the delicious barbq sauce, hot sauce and mustard. Marc started this bbq venture with the Hawkers markets and Mercado a few years back, and happily that experience is what excelled him into opening a brick and mortar eatery on the city’s eastside. In the Southern USA there are many barbq houses each area claiming to a different style, here they have their own style with nods to others.
I loved the Organic Beef Brisket Sandwich on a soft Fife Bakery Bun with chips and house made mustard, I also tried some of their sides including the tasty Smokey Beans, Greens and Cornbread. I also tried the Chicken Wings which were tasty as well.
There dessert offerings are minimal, I had the Salted caramel ice cream made by local Rocky Point Ice Cream. They offer a few beer on tap, a selection of seasonal cocktails with a large line-up of whiskey’s for your drinking pleasure to pair up with their bbq eats. Weekend brunch is on offer as well and that is something I look forward to trying one day soon.
