At first glance from the moment I entered this one of a kind vegetarian eatery in an off beat location on the north shore, I fell in love with the place. It’s a Japanese family run café, where everything is home-made, and it’s a place where the ramen, udon and rice dishes are all vegan.
I loved the Organic Chickpea-Miso Ramen (vegan) in a delicous cauliflower broth with greens, carrots and kogashi garlic oil, the house-made hand-crafted ramen noodles. Asides from their main ramen bowls and other savoury mainstays, they also make a variety of baked goods. I also loved the Vegan Cinnamon Bun made with organic bread flour, coconut milk, coconut oil, cinnamon and some secret ingredients; this is deliciousness at its best. I also tried one of their mochi cakes, the Matcha Mochi Cake which paired with an Espresso. I had a taste of the refreshing Yuzu Ginger Latte which had me yearning for more along with their Matcha Latte.
In addition to their ramen and baked goods they also have a market selling all sorts of grocery items that complement what they are serving in the café. This is a gem worth the drive across the bridge from the city.
