The highly popular BEST of the WEST is back along with a new culinary event at this year’s Harmony Arts Festival.
Ambleside Pier will play host to two exciting culinary events this year at the Harmony Arts Festival, presented by Odlum Brown Limited!
The annual BEST of the WEST food and wine pairing event, sponsored by Grosvenor Americas, has become one of the most popular attractions of the festival. Last year, tickets sold out six weeks in advance. This year, the 6th annual BEST of the WEST will take place on Wednesday, August 3rd on Ambleside Pier between 7-9 p.m. Hosted by the culinary connoisseurs at Aurilla Consulting, this event pairs twelve of the North Shore’s best restaurants with twelve BC wineries for a culinary arts competition in which guests are encouraged to vote on their favourite pairing. The pairing with the most votes will be crowned the BEST of the WEST winners for 2016. The next night, on August 4th from 8-10 p.m., the festival will celebrate the rebirth of cocktail culture by hosting a Mixology Night on the Pier. This exciting new culinary event will feature several bar stations, catered food and great music – all taking place under the gorgeous setting sun along Ambleside Pier!
BC’s top bartenders will entice participants with an array of creative and daring new drinks. Visitors will be able to relax and sample spirits at each station. There is already a lot of ‘buzz’ about Mixology Night on the Pier and it will surely be one of the most anticipated events of the Harmony Arts Festival.
