On January 24, 2016 we presented the fourth crawl in a series of neighborhood brunch crawls in this 3rd year of our brunch crawl series we produced and presented with Tourism Vancouver for their Dine Out Festival. This event was a super success for all who attended. Participants had a chance to visit several restaurants through-out the Lonsdale area and taste all sorts of dishes on this unique food crawl.
Our registration spot was held inside the Lonsdale Quay Market where guests began their tasting tour. Starting off at Bowen Island Pizza Co. where they did a collaboration with Cobbs Bread who served Apricot french toast with a strawberry reduction along with an Italian crostini with either: olive and artichoke tapenade OR chorizo and roasted garlic.
At the North end of the market, Bean Around the World gave everyone a choice of the following beverages, an 8 oz. cup of either drip coffee (dark, medium roasts or decaf) or an espresso beverage including, Espresso, Americano, Fat White, Latte or Cappuccino
A few blocks away, Two Daughters Bakery which specializes in Gluten-Free baking, served an Apple Tart along with a Ginger lemon sandwich cookie.
A few blocks North on Lonsdale, Cook Culture served up smoothies along with their delicious Red lentil pancakes with haskap & maple syrup.
Nearby, at Echo Café they served a tasting plate filled with a Waffle BLT: Bacon, lettuce and tomato with house special pesto mayo on top of fresh Belgian waffle; Savory fresh baked cheese & green onion scone; Spinach, tomato & feta cheese Quiche and a Country style Quiche: ham, cheese & peas.
Lastly, Rosemary Rocksalt served their Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich on Sesame bagel with mustard and dill pickle; Lox & Cream Cheese on Poppyseed bagel with capers, red onion, lemon, and dill pickle and their new vegan cashew spread on Rosemary Rocksalt bagel.
The restaurants featured many unique and tasty dishes to our guests to eat and drink throughout the event.
