Avocado Toast
Chocolate Chip Cookie and an Espresso Macchiato
Overlooking Oppenheimer Park, owners Lisa & Luc Leimanis run a homey café offering sandwiches and baked goods and great locally sourced beverages along with brunch on the weekend. I visited for brunch having their Avocado Toast ($6) with lemon on sourdough wth bruschetta along with a Chocolate Chip Cookie ($2) and an Espresso Macchiato ($3).
The café is filled with mismatched chairs and wooden tables for enjoying on your own or sharing. In addition to offering up their selection of homemade goodies they also offer a variety of ongoing cooking classes that fill their space each week. It is a community oriented café that strives to be that neighbourhood spot where people can enjoy a cup of coffee, strike up a conversation, and perhaps learn something that may better them, that is where these classes come in, keep an eye out for the next classes as they often fill up fast. You will find all sorts of baked goods, cakes, pastries, pies, jar desserts and more. On the beverage side of things you will find a full line-up of espresso beverages along with teas to round out the liquid offerings.
