Experiencing Desi Indian Lounge in Downtown Vancouver

It’s all about Modern Indian cuisine with creative Executive Chef Balvant Ajagaonkar leading the kitchen. Lawrence joined me and we started off our dining adventure with the beautiful and delicious Tandoori Pear Salad with avocado, yoghurt, walnuts; we paired it up with a Mango Mojito mocktail.

Next was the Steamed chicken momos with their very hot sauce on the side. The Tandoori Chicken came with a little sprouts salad and the lemon squeeze made for a tasty dish. The Samosa Kale Chaat is a stunner with samosas, chickpeas, yoghurt, chutney, crispy kale, crunchy sev. The Shimla kebab is aka Indian spiced mini vegi burgers and I love it. The Tandoori sockeye salmon was delicious as was the Tandoori lamb chops. Next were the Thepla Chicken Tacos that come on a tasty spiced herbs flatbread.

We then had a couple of curries and we had them made dairy free which is a great option that is available for the asking. Both the Lasooni Palak Burrata and the Mango Chicken were outstanding. We also got some of their whole wheat Roti and Lacha Paratha.

To finish off we shared one dessert, the Moti chur cheese cake which we both loved that was layered with a delicate motichur crumble served with a crisp tuile and pista yogurt sauce.

The decor of the restaurant is gorgeous and make sure to visit the washroom as it is one of the most beautiful in the city.
