Eating around Metro Vancouver during a Snowy Week in the Honda CR-V Hybrid

I recently spent a week test driving the Honda CR-V Hybrid 2025 car around Vancouver while trying some dishes at some restaurants and cafes.

Impromptu dinner at one of my favourite spots was to Sushi Hil on Main Street where Chef Hilary crafted a customized dinner set for me featuring only fish (no seafood) started off with refreshing daikon, followed by a white fish miso soup, then the outstanding all fish set followed by Shiso Leaf sorbet to finish.

The next day I visited one of my favourite bakeries, Tommy’s Whole Grain in the Strathcona neighbourhood 338 Powell Street. Here they mill their own flour baking up breads and baked goods that are all whole grain. On this visit I got a slice of their Whole grain Babka as well as a Seeded loaf to go.

The Honda CR-V Hybrid, with all-wheel drive has some great features which include Snow Mode and an Intelligent Control System that enhances traction and control in snowy conditions. When in Snow Mode: This mode optimizes powertrain settings for snowy roads, reducing wheel slip and improving traction.

One spot that had been on my mind for ages was Little Pieces located in Burnaby just bordering Coquitlam which had opened during the Summer. As I was in the area on this cold day, I stopped in for some of their delicious soft-serve ice cream. Anytime of the year is ice cream time even if it is freezing cold outside.

The steering wheel frames a partially digital gauge cluster with an analog speedometer and a display that allows the driver to swap between different informational menus.

The car interior has an attractive design inspired by the Civic compact car and is complemented by modern tech, including an infotainment system with an available 9.0-inch touchscreen that has wireless Apple CarPlay which I used frequently.
