This is one of my favourite festival parties of the summer and it’s been some years since the last that I attended. The opening gala for this year’s event took on a different direction, sometimes change is evident and the guests at this opening party enjoyed themselves.

Chef Tushar Tondvalkar coordinated the food offerings for this wonderful gala that not only featured his own catering company, The Indian Pantry, but it also featured several of his friends Chef TJ Conwi, of Ono Vancouver, along with Chef Asha Wheeldon and her Kula Foods.

These are some of the tasty dishes they presented to guests to enjoy.

The venue for this party was at Performance Works on Granville Island. This sold out gala on a very warm night featured delicious eats, wines, cocktails and music.
