Take yourself on a culinary journey to India in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver. I had the pleasure to taste my way through a selection of dishes on the menu at this established restaurant that recently changed ownership.
They specialize in Northern Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine and Chef Arvind has introduced many new Indian dishes. They have extended their hours to be open until 11pm during the weekdays and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
1st dish:
Gol Gappa which is a palate refresher and an interactive appetizer.
2nd dish:
Sizzler with Soya chap and Tandoori fish; and it’s the Tandoori fish that we both loved the most.
3rd dish:
The Mango Prawn Curry was outstanding.
4th dish:
Paneer Pasanda was a unique dish with vegetables stuffed inside the paneer in a tasty curry.
5th dish:
Goat curry,
6th dish:
Diwani Handi (mixed curry vegetables)
7th dish:
Kashmiri Pulao
8th dish
Garlic naan
9th dish
Lacha Paratha
10th dish:
house-made Kheer (rice pudding)
