Vancouver Slider Challenge Winners 2021

The  Vancouver Foodster Slider Challenge was a success featuring creations from restaurants around Vancouver. Each spot featured their creation from July 9 – August 1, 2021. Our media judging panel determined the ultimate winners of the challenge, and this was quite the task as each judge who tasted each creation with a rigorous process based on taste, originality/uniqueness and presentation/appearance.

1st Place:

The Burnt  Bison

Price: One slider for $9, or two for $16

Description: A 3oz in house made Bison patty with a blackberry mayo, bacon jam, and burnt shallots served on top of an in house made sesame slider bun. (Optional) you can add on a side for a small extra cost (fries, house salad, caesar salad or yam fries) 

Takeout/Pickup: Daily 11am-9pm for dine in, take out and or delivery.

Delivery: Daily from 12pm-9pm, orders can be placed over the phone only at 604-922-9333. Will take credit card over the phone for no touch delivery.  Delivery only to West Vancouver addresses.

Description: Three Sliders, consisting of 1 each of Marinated Battered Chicken/Seasoned Porks/Canadian Beef, stacked with Lettuce, Lotus Roots ,  Caramelized Sweet Onion , Fresh Shredded Green Mango, Sprouts and Green Onion served in homemade Beet/Spinach/Pumpkin buns with Red/Green/Yellow Curry Coconut Milk sauce.

Each media judge scored each creation with a maximum of 40 points as follows: Overall Taste 20 points, Originality and Uniqueness 10 points, Presentation and Appearance 10 points. The highest number of points a challenge creation could have been awarded is 120 points.

Our Media judges for this challenge were: AJ Yao, Eva Lee, and Tara Lee.
