A food forward coffee shop that opened recently in Lower Lonsdale in beautiful North Vancouver.
With it’s high ceilings this café also features a long communal table in the centre of the room on the main floor, and a good amount of seating upstairs. You will also find a long bar featuring their espresso along with their baked goods pastry case.
I’ve tried a selection of dishes from their all day brunch menu which included their Buckwheat Buttermilk Pancakes (buckwheat groat and buttermilk pancakes, blueberries, orange and cardamom whipped cream, maple syrup) and the Cured Salmon Waffle (Buckwheat waffle topped with house-made Gravlax, chive and lemon yogurt), along with the Garden Breakfast bowl (grilled romaine, fried cauliflower, fresh and pickled veg, avocado, house-made tahini sauce and a free-range poached egg).
I have also tried a selection of their baking including the Butter croissant, Pistachio raspberry tart, Apple pudding, Banana hazelnut loaf, and Flourless brownie.
They also feature a full espresso bar with a couple of different coffee roasters featured, as well as beer and wine.
The café is open Tuesday – Sunday from 8am – 4pm. Chef Lily takes care of all the baking while Chef Caitline takes care of the brunch dishes.
