Welcome to the Vancouver Foodster Sundae Challenge. Bakeries and cafes from all over the city were invited to enter their Sundae creations into this challenge. Each cafe and bakery will be featuring their Sundae creations on their menu from August 1-25, 2019.
How Does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the sundae creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best sundae creation for the People’s Choice award winners.
Share your experiences: Tweet (and don’t forget to tweet or instagram your photos) throughout the challenge, our twitter and instagram address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #SundaeChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your tweets during the challenge.
Voting criteria – some things to help you judge your favourite sundae creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.
Get some friends together and make a day or night of it, visit 2 places or more to taste the different sundae creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourite

Description: Inspired from a classic dessert from Colombia, this elegant version has fruit salad in the bottom mixed with homemade vanilla yogourt and mozzarella cheese, giving the perfect balance between salty and sweet with Black sour cherry sauce. Frutto di Bosco gelato with fresh berries from the Fraser Valley topped with chocolate crisp pearls and white-dark chocolate rhombus.

Description: We started by going back to my childhood memories from Thailand with a “Ruam-Mit” shaved ice dessert that always came with a variety of toppings! We turned it into a sundae following the same ideas but we used a variety of 5 different homemade ice cream flavors with over 10 variety of flavorful toppings – all combined onto a crunchy puff pastry tray. Bring a friend!
