Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
La Petite Cuillere changed ownership in late 2017, this was my visit back to this charming tea salon since the change, located on Kingsway near Broadway in Mount Pleasant.
I was joined by my friends Stephanie Stewart and Naomi and we had their Afternoon Tea service for $35.00 per person. As Stephanie is lactose intolerant and doesn’t eat meat, they crafted a Vegan tea service menu and it is available to anyone as long as you request it when making your reservation.
On the regular tea service which both Naomi and I had, A three tiered plate filled with an assortment of savouries on the bottom plate was a chicken tartlet, soup shooter, croissant sandwich, spinach salad; the middle plate featured a delicious scone with Devonshire cream and jam; and the top plate featured a selection of sweets, mini cupcake, tea cake and macaron.
My thoughts – From the assortment of savouries I loved the Delicata Squash sandwich followed by the Soup shooter. Loved the scone on the middle plate. From the selection of sweets I loved mini cupcake the best.
