First Taste or Mukja Korean Cuisine

I had a chance to try a couple of dishes in this recently opened Korean restaurant owned by Kim Jic in the Kitsilano neighborhood.

Chef Sean

Built and designed the place themselves, the restaurant seats 74 people inside and they hope to add an outside patio soon. Chef Sean came to Vancouver from Singapore via Korea, and here is excited to introduce many of his Korean specialities to Vancouver diners.

The menu focus is on Korean recipes of cheese pork ribs and cheese grilled chicken. They will soon be adding Korean fried chicken and soup-based dishes.

Cheese Grilled Chicken

Cheese Pork Rib

I enjoyed the Cheese Grilled Chicken served to the table in this special sharing hot plate, the cheese in the centre bubbled, such a delicious combination, served with corn, beans, mashed potatoes and egg on the side. Make sure to save some of the chicken cheese mixture at the end for complimentary fried rice, this is addictive, so good.

I also tried the Cheese Pork Rib –similar to the above but has tomato sauce in the outside side
