With it’s focus on Korean style-Mexican food with a twist, TAKO is serving up tacos, quesadillas, burrito’s, along with rice cakes, tortilla chips and poutine. You will also find beer, cold brew coffee and other beverages.
Owned by Kathy and her team, they are also the same group behind these other eateries around the city, UYU Ice Cream, Tsuki Sushi Bar, Taishoken, and Men-no Kura Ramen. This concept is obviously quite different than the others, however, it’s unique and well thought out to mix two popular food cultures together.
I have had a round-up of eats here that included the Bulgogi quesadilla with gooey cheese, Tako Taco with beef, Pan fried spicy rice cake skewer, Burrito with BBQ grilled short rib and Seoul chicken with house-tortilla chips!
TAKO is located at 601 Expo Boulevard, close to Stadium Skytrain in International Village, on instagram @takovancouver They are open from 11am until late daily.
