I indulged in this inaugural afternoon tea service to launch the new store and tea lounge. Michelle Nahanee and her daughter Paisley’s tea focussed shop features an indigenous selection of teas and accompanying products.
After my selection of tea was served, I then indulged with a selection of Indigenous themed savouries and sweets served on a three-tiered platter.
The savouries included; Corn pie filled with elk, Bison ancient filo, Wild mushroom pie, Bannock filled with duck and turnip; and FIlo stuffed with mushroom; all delicious (bottom plate)
The Middle plate featured a Smoked duck and apple sandwich, and a Salmon canoe on endive.
The sweets on the top plate included a delicious Bannock with local churn burgamont and rhubarb butter, easy van juniper jam; Chai chia pudding with blueberries; Vegan cheesecake made with coconut and cashew Creme with blackberries; Quinoa vegan chocolate lavender cake topped with raspberries.
This West Coast Wild Tea Service is available Friday to Sunday afternoons for $28 per person (minimum 1 person), and there is a vegetarian version of the same for $24 per person (minimum 1 person). Both of these afternoon tea services must be reserved online here at least two days in advance.
