Made in Strathcona

Meet the Makers Expo was held on Saturday, June 13th in the Strathcona neighbourhood at MakerLabs. This was a great initiative hosted by The Strathcona Business Improvement Association (SBIA) to educate everyone in the community about the businesses in this neighborhood. I had a chance to taste some food and drink from some of these businesses as well as discover many others.

It was great to see the folks from Ed’s Daily serving up their delicious Kale & Soba Salad, as well I enjoyed the refreshing iced coffee at the A.G.R.O. Coffee booth. Daryl Ray and his team from The Butler Did It Catering was serving up delicious Shredded Beef Tacos; and I had a chance to taste some of the Cold Brew Coffee offerings from new coffee roaster Goliath Coffee. I had a chance to meet the folks from the new nearby eatery The Heatley, as well as Sunrise Soya Foods.

Located between Clark, Venables Street, and Gore Avenue, Strathcona provides an authentic, community oriented experience for visitors, businesses & the public.
