I love cafes that are situated in the centre of a neighborhood, they aren’t on the busiest streets nor accessible by transit, this cafe is a gem worthy of your discovery. Literally in the centre of the West End, sits a rather large room that is a full on espresso bar and café with seating on the main level with a split level 2nd floor towards the back offering additional seating and bikes on display. Rather the bikes are part of the art gallery which also features a selection of paintings and everything is for sale. It was bustling when I visited and that was after it’s first week, it’s as if neighborhood residents were yearning for this special place to call their own.
Serving locally roasted Moja Coffee, with baked goods and pastries from Cadeaux Bakery, they have got the groove in motion and it’s exact. I had a perfect Espresso Macchiato ($3.50) and it was a delight to watch the barista work her perfection. I also had a delish Grilled Cheese ($7) with Emmental & oven roasted tomatoes. You will find a selection of sandwiches, waffles, baked goods to accompany the espresso beverages on offer. Find a book you have been wanting to read for the past year, leave the laptop at home or at the office and head on over an enjoy this wonderful spot in our Westend.
