A warm and inviting neighborhood bistro with a cozy dining area and a well-appointed bar for sipping and mingling. I loved the cork walls and ceiling in the dining room, and the copper rooftop tiles over the bar, the lighting fixtures also unique and radiant. My friends Webstur and Tim joined me to share some dishes, we started out with the outstanding Duck Rillette and Smoked Salmon Pate ($14) served with crostini. Next was the delicious Mushroom & Gruyere Tart ($14) served on a light flaky pastry with the outstanding Fish & Leek Chowder topped with a herb crostini; along with a very good Beer Braised Pulled Pork Tart ($16) served on a light flaky pastry with the outstanding Fish & Leek Chowder (you have a choice of soup or salad with the savoury tarts). For dessert I had a miniature version of the outstanding Chocolate Mousse ($5) to round out the wonderful meal of delicious food, fine service and a great ambiance.
You will find a selection of snacks, soup, salads, meat & cheese charcuterie as well as their notable tarts and desserts, as well as a nice list of cocktails and wines. This is your new go to spot before or after a play at the nearby Stanley Theatre or during an afternoon shopping in the neighborhood.
