Capers Whole Foods Market is hosting its 15th Annual Living Naturally Fair on September 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Robson store location. The fair will feature more than 100 local and artisan food vendors, natural health experts and non-profit organizations that will offer delicious food samples, product knowledge, tips on sustainable living and discuss grassroots initiatives happening within our community.
Highlights of the event will include cooking demonstrations by sibling chefs Chad and Derek Sarno, Jill Broadway of Conscious Table and Ken Joe of O’Douls Restaurant and Bar. Chefs will demonstrate a variety of recipes featuring local and seasonal produce with examples that meet and exceed Whole Foods Markets Health Starts Here program standards. Please let me know if you are interested in learning more about these local culinary talents or would like to organize an interview post-demonstration.
As a new addition to this year’s fair, Okanagan Spring is hosting a beer pairing on Saturday, September 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. where guests are invited to enjoy refreshing brews and appetizers $20. All proceeds will benefit Whole Foods Market’s charitable partner, the Environmental Youth Alliance – an organization that facilitates youth engagement in food, environmental and community action projects.
