Advice: Call ahead for takeout.
I love Nuba, and have always loved Nuba ever since trying their food at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival a few years back, I then repeatedly visited their Seymour street café and have had almost every item on the menu many times over. I love this location south of Olympic Village, it is the greenest location by far and ever so cool too. Most of the food at Nuba is organic, it is Lebanese hearty comfort food at its finest.
On this visit I had the outstanding Falafel plate ($10.50) organic chickpeas, fava beans, veggies and spices served with humous and pita bread; and the authentic and awesome Turkish Coffee ($2.75). My other favourites include the Garden Falafel ($6.25) falafel with avocado and humous; the Deluxe Toasted Veggie ($9) with falafel, baba, macedonian feta, taboulleh, and caramelized onions. There are Pita wraps, Mezze (appetizer size of most items) and Plates (the works with brown rice or potatoes along with veggies and pita), soups and salads. They have fresh squeezed juices, coffees, Middle-Eastern baked goods, pastries and organic retail products in the market. This is one of my go to lunch places during the week and I look forward to more of their tasty food.
