I am so happy that I made a visit to this long time burger emporium in Kitsilano after friends have nudged, pushed, and talked about Moderne. The menu is fairly simple, they have 4 different burgers, Steak, Ground Turkey, Veggie and Salmon filet and they come with or without fries, all include the basics being hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise and house sauce. The burgers are made fresh daily with no preservatives, season or fillers. The potatoes are farm fresh, and the fries are hand cut to order. I had the Ground Turkey Burger ($7.45) which was delicious and fresh, very good and very different than others I have had previously. Beverages include old fashioned sodas, floats and shakes that are hand-made with hard ice cream. This is an old style 1950’s burger emporium that is Moderne.
