First Taste of OEB Breakfast Co in North Vancouver

Specializing in creative breakfast and brunch dishes; they recently opened their newest location in North Vancouver close to Lions Gate Hospital.

I loved the modern decor and the spacious room and most of all the vibe and delicious food. This location features high ceilings, extensive table seating, an open kitchen and a bar.

OEB was established in 2009; in Calgary – a Canadian city with big potential and small-town values. With distinct locations and plans to grow, OEB pushes the culinary boundaries of breakfast food to bring you the best in quality and craftsmanship. Their founder is a classically trained Chef, Mauro Martina, has cultivated a culture that prioritizes connection and genuine food integrity.

Lawrence joined me and we tried several of their dishes and beverages. The PIEROGIES & DUCK was my favourite dish with hand pinched pierogies, hardwood smoked bacon, duck confit, green onions, raspberry vinaigrette, topped it with avocado as a substitution for the eggs, micro-greens; this was an outstanding dish.

Lawrence loved the HOG & SCALLOPS with poached eggs, duck fat fried herb potatoes, Saint Cyrille curds, seared Digby scallops, slow cooked bacon lardons, and brown butter hollandaise.

The TOMATO. AVOCADO. FIOR DI LATTE dish was very good with an Artisan bagel, beefsteak tomatoes, Hass avocado, fior di latte mozzarella, truffles, micro watercress, EVOO with Waffle Fries on the side

Lawrence loved the HOLY CRAB EGG BENNY with Wild blue crab, fresh dill, Dijon mustard served on a butter croissant, with brown butter hollandaise, and arugula mix.

We also shared the TWO TOAST SLICES topped with fresh smashed avocado, garbanzo bean hummus, tomato jam, fresh picked herbs, artisan multi-seed bread, EVOO, added cold-smoked salmon for extra protein.

The NOT SO BORING BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST was a treat and almost like a dessert with Sri Lankan cinnamon and orange blossom spiced French toast, Quebec maple syrup, added berries.
