On Sunday January 12, 2014 we presented our 2nd tasting tour of noodles held all over the city.
Each of the restaurants participating had served up a couple of different noodle dishes as Tasting Bowls or Plates for guests to enjoy. Guests then had a chance to visit many different types of restaurants throughout the event, meet some new food loving friends, meet the chefs, and learn about each of the participating restaurants.
Rigatoni alla Norma with tomato sauce, eggplant, ricotta salata, basil and Strozzapreti con ragu bolognese – hand rolled strozzapretti pasta in a slow cooked mixed meat ragu from Federico’s Supper Club
Pho Sate Peanut Sauce ; Spicy Lemongrass Vermicelli Noodles with beef & pork; and Pho – Rice Noodle Soup with beef from Five Elements Cafe.
Chicken chow mein filled samosa with tamarind chutney at Atithi Indian Cuisine.
Beetroot linguine topped with a porcini infused cashew cream sauce; and Macaroni:brown rice elbows in our smoky coconut milk based ‘cheese’sauce topped with a toasted nut crumble (gluten free) at Graze Vegetarian Restaurant.
Kanom Jeen – Green curry chicken over rice noodles (Kanom Jeen), Ga Chai, Kafir lime, bamboo shoot, Basil, Eggplant, Chili, Fish Sauce, Palm Sugar and raw vegetables; andPad Thai, vegetarian version of fried rice noodles with traditional tamarind sauce, Turnip, fish sauce, Palm sugar, smoke tofu, peanuts, egg, garlic chive and bean sprouts at

Before the noodles tasting adventure began, guests were treated to a performance by singer/songwriter Gio Levy on stage at Federico’s where everyone registered for the event.
The restaurants featured many unique and tasty noodle dishes to our guests throughout the event.
