Known as the pub on the corner, this long time pub has been pushing the envelope so to speak ever since Chef A.J. Jackson took over the kitchen. This neighbourhood eatery is all about west-coast comfort food that mixes delicious fare with a great selection of craft beers on tap or by the bottle. Almost everything is house made, and you will find an extensive selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, small plates and mains. I have attended many of their specialty dinners in past and recently dined for lunch on their beautiful patio which is located on the roof. I shared a few dishes with a friend including the flavourful Kimchi Baby Back Ribs ($9.95) with soy chili glaze, cilantro and kimchi; I then indulged in two of their burgers, loved outstanding Library Burger ($13.95) Cambozola, root beer onion jam, greens, garlic mayo, bacon that came with a side of their outstanding Polenta Fries; I also had the hearty Quebec Burger ($12.95) fried cheese curds, smoked meat, lettuce, Dijon, garlic mayo; which came with a side of their healthy Quinoa Salad. To round out the eats I had a BC Craft Sampler ($8) with a brew from 33 Acres, DeepCove, Ninkasi Radiant and Fresh Squeezed.
You will find a few desserts, a $10 lunch menu selection and a weekend brunch which I am looking to partake in very soon.
